Foreman-309A Licensed Electrician 

 

Job Description:

309A Electrical Foreman 

A foreman is responsible for installing systems in accordance with current electrical codes, able to operate a crew of 5+.  Able to complete projects in a timely manner while keeping the job site safe and clean following all health and safety guidelines.  This candidate must be positive, communicative and maintain a professional and positive atmosphere on all jobsites.

Qualifications:

English (required)

Supervising 2 years (Preferred)

309A Electrician Construction-Maintenance License 

Basic First Aid/CPR Certificate, WHIMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System), Ministry of Labour on-line certificate on Occupational Health and Safety and Working at Heights certification

Duties:

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans

Produce schedules and monitor crew attendance

Allocate general and daily responsibilities

Supervise and train team members

Supervise sub-contractors

Ensure workforce and resources are adequate

Meet all safety protocols and quality standards

Supervise the use of machinery and equipment

Meet schedule demands

Organize and secure site material and project tools to ensure maximum efficiency and loss prevention

Manage material requirements and place orders

Resolve problems when they arise

Install electrical per specifications and Electrical Safety Authority Code

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

Minimum 2-year proven experience as a construction site supervisor

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety guidelines

Excellent understanding of electrical systems such as power distribution, fire alarm, generator installations, lighting controls and similar

Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Ability to communicate and report effectively

Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

Able to manage multiple projects and schedules, at times simultaneously

We provide uniforms, training a great hourly wage, and a benefits package for qualified candidates. Candidates will be required to supply their own tools, safety boots and hard hat.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary:  $45.00 - $52.00 per/h
